Welcome to the Net Diaspora Newbie Guide

Create a character, fill in all the information that is needed. Then your char will be created.
You will find yourself at one of these three planets in the "Gen Zone". Gen Pelein, Gen Grayl or Gen Irium. This is random and can't be changed.
Buy your first ship and install some pods. For the first start I suggest a Zephyr seeker, no guns, and all MK1 speed pods. This will cost you about 8000 credits, but don't worry. Launch into space, your journey starts.

Move your ship up to Gen Gate 3. If you arrived there and survived, click on "Use Gate". This is the area, where you going to meet the most people, and die the most various ways.

Fly to the planet "Lauis Metis" and buy the "Arachne Plans". Don't worry about the Militia guys flying there. The things orbiting the planets are satellites owned by a guild. The can be shot, but be warned, they shoot back, and unless you don't have a good ship, you will die instantly. Then launch back into space and have someone kill you (this will drag you back to your home planet, and you start back over with 20.000 credits (as before), but now you own the plans.

Now buy an Arachne seeker, all speed, no guns, and start again. Yet again go to Gen Gate Gate 3. Fly to Tyros, buy the "Nisus Plans" and have someone kill you again. Now you have to start trading for a better ship, and for more plans. I suggest to start with a Zephyr carrier. On the --> Diaspora site you will find a Trade Calculator, which provides you you, the best possible trade between two planets. The relevant planets are "Gen Pelein", "Gen Grayl" and "Gen Irium". If you want to stay alive, stay inside the Gen Field. No Player can pop (kill) you there. Trade, until you have enough to buy an "Arachne Freighter". This ship will carry more goods, and therefore make more money. Trade until 50.000 credits, buy an Arachne Seeker and launch back into the "Neutral Zone". Fly your ship as fast as you can to the planet "Jen Cando" and purchase the "Talos Plans". Now, you could let you pop or not. That's your decision.

Back at home I suggest to buy a "Talos Seeker" or a "Talos Fighter". Install guns (Lance Rays are cool, about 4K each, which are easy to afford and replace), but DON'T MIX GUNS. You can only use one at the same time, which makes you weaker, than necessary. Hunt the Rin bots until you get a certain amount of experience (about 250 will do). You can check your experience on every planet by clicking on "CB Information" and there on "Stats Viewer". Type in your character name and hit Enter. The screen will show you all information you need (Money, Exp, Kills, Guild, Rank, ....). You May need help while hunting Rin with a Talos ship.

Bots

Militia Endymion Class Ships, hard boys, I suggest to not attack them. There is also 1 Erinyes Behemoth Militia bot (General Pyr) Strong but a 50K reward for killing it.
Klyn Zephyr, Arachne and Talos Class ships, they look weak but can kill weaker ships quite easily.
Rin Talos Class Ships, most popular to gain experience
Gen Crusaders Velic Zone Bots. 3K temporary reward range from Arachne seeker to Arachne Behemoth.
Kaydin Helios Class Ships, kinda dangerous and hard to kill (Fighter up to Behemoth)
